Lyle Williams

A Representative from Ohio. Born in Philippi, Barbour County, W. Va. , August 23, 1942. Attended the public schools of North Bloomfield, Ohio. Graduated from North Bloomfield High School, 1960. Served in the United States Army Reserve, 1960-1968. Barber. Member, Bloomfield local school board, 1970-1972. Trumbull County Commissioner, 1972-1976. Elected as a Republican to the Ninety-sixth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1979-January 3, 1985). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Ninety-ninth Congress. Member of the external affairs staff, Office of Surface Mining, Department of the Interior, 1987. Unsuccessful candidate in 1992 for nomination to the One Hundred Third Congress. Died on November 7, 2008, in Lordstown, Ohio. Interment at Lordstown Cemetery, Lordstown, Ohio.
