Served in the United States Army, 1956-1958. Admitted to the Ohio bar in 1956 and commenced practice in Toledo, 1958. Assistant professor, Toledo University School of Law, 1966-1979. Elected as a Republican to the Ninety-seventh Congress (January 3, 1981-January 3, 1983). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1982. Resumed the practice of law. Died on February 27, 2023, in Perrysburg Township, Ohio.  .
