Delegate, Democratic National Convention, 1964. Elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-eighth and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1963-January 3, 1981). Died on May 17, 2008, in San Diego, Calif. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, San Luis Rey, Calif.
