Director of administrative operations at the White House, 1981-1983. Elected as a Republican to the Ninety-ninth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 1985-January 3, 1989). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1988 to the One Hundred First Congress. Died on July 21, 2024, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
