A Representative from Ohio. Born in Painesville, Lake County, Ohio, February 20, 1924. Graduated from Culver Military Academy, Culver, Ind. , 1942. Attended School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Washington, D. C. , 1942. Graduated from Georgetown University, Washington, D. C. , 1949. United States Army, 1942-1946. Businessman. Elected Lake County Commissioner, 1956 and 1960. Elected as a Republican to the Eighty-ninth and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1965-January 3, 1983). Was not a candidate for reelection to the Ninety-eighth Congress in 1982. Executive, World Bank. Died on April 11, 2002, in Jacksonville, Fla. Interment in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Painesville, Ohio.
