Kent County, Mich. , prosecuting attorney, 1975-1976. Elected as a Republican to the Ninety-fifth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1977-January 3, 1985). Not a candidate for reelection to the Ninety-ninth Congress in 1984. Died on April 2, 2003, in Kent County, Mich. Interment in Rockford Cemetery, Rockford, Mich.
