Gary A. Myers

A Representative from Pennsylvania. Born in Toronto, Jefferson County, Ohio, August 16, 1937. Attended Evans City (Pa. ) Elementary School, 1943-1951. Graduated, Evans City High School, 1955. B. S. , University of Cincinnati, 1960. M. B. A. , University of Pittsburgh, 1964. Pursued professional career in mechanical and industrial engineering, steel mill turn foreman. Served in the United States Air Force Reserve, 1961-1968. Unsuccessful candidate in 1972 for election to the Ninety-third Congress. Elected as a Republican to the Ninety-fourth and to the Ninety-fifth Congresses (January 3, 1975-January 3, 1979). Was not a candidate for reelection in 1978 to the Ninety-sixth Congress. Resumed work in the steel industry. Consultant in technical services and project management for an engineering search firm. Died on October 31, 2020, in Sebastian, Fla.
