Biography
A Representative from Connecticut. Born in New York City, October 8, 1944. Attended public schools, Northport, N. Y. Graduated, Northport High School, 1962. S. B. , Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass. , 1965. M. S. , University of Illinois, Urbana, 1970. J. D. , Yale Law School, 1973. Admitted to the Connecticut bar, 1973 and commenced practice in New Haven. Admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, 1976, to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, 1979, and to the New York bar, 1981. Elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-eighth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1983-January 3, 1991). Was not a candidate for reelection in 1990 to the One Hundred Second Congress but was an unsuccessful nominee for governor of Connecticut. Is a resident of Hamden, Conn.
