Douglas County (Nebr. ) Commissioner, two terms, 1965-1970. Delegate, Nebraska State Republican conventions, 1960-1970. Delegate, Republican National Convention, 1968. Elected as a Republican to the Ninety-second, Ninety-third, and Ninety-fourth Congresses (January 3, 1971-January 3, 1977). Was not a candidate for reelection in 1976, but was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate. Died on November 1, 2013, in Omaha, Nebr.
