Elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-eighth and to the ten succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1963-January 3, 1985). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Ninety-ninth Congress in 1984. Died on September 18, 1994, in Cockeysville, Md.
