Teacher and instructor of political science, Mt. San Antonio College, Walnut, Calif. , 1970-1973. United States Navy, naval aviator, 1942-1963 (retired). Member, Democratic State central committee, 1968-1972. Served as city councilman of West Covina, Calif. , 1968-1975. Mayor of West Covina, 1973-1974. Elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-fourth, Ninety-fifth, and Ninety-sixth Congresses (January 3, 1975-January 3, 1981). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1980 to the Ninety-seventh Congress. Died on February 2, 2012, in Pensacola, Fla. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
