Floyd K. Haskell

A Senator from Colorado. Born in Morristown, Morris County, N. J. , February 7, 1916. Graduated, Harvard University 1937. Graduated, Harvard Law School 1941. Admitted to the New York and Colorado bars in 1946 and commenced practice in Denver, Colo. Served in the United States Army 1941-1945, attaining the rank of major. Member, Colorado house of representatives 1965-1969. Elected as a Democrat to the United States Senate in 1972 and served from January 3, 1973, to January 3, 1979. Unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1978. Was a resident of Washington, D. C. Until his death on August 25, 1998. Interment in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
