Vice chairman of Judicial Council of Oregon. Elected as a Republican to the Ninetieth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1967-January 3, 1975). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Ninety-fourth Congress in 1974. Associate director, United States Peace Corps, 1975-1977. President, Christian College Coalition, 1977-1988. Died on December 7, 2002, in Medford, Oreg. Interment location is unknown.
