A. , Ph. D. , Catholic University of America, Washington, D. C. , 1957. Ordained a Roman Catholic priest, Norbertine Order, 1944. Teacher of social sciences in parochial schools of Philadelphia, Pa. , 1941-1947. Professor, St. Norbert College, 1947-1974, and 1979-2009. Chairman, Eighth Congressional District Democratic Party of Wisconsin, 1969-1974. Member, State Administrative Committee of Democratic Party of Wisconsin, 1969-1974. Unsuccessful candidate for the United States House of Representatives in 1970 and 1972. Elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-fourth and Ninety-fifth Congresses (January 3, 1975-January 3, 1979). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Ninety-sixth Congress in 1978. Died on May 10, 2009, in DePere, Wis. Interment at Saint Norbert Abbey Cemetery, De Pere, Wis.
