A Representative from New York. Born in Warsaw, Wyoming County, N. Y. , November 2, 1922. Attended the Warsaw public schools. Graduated from Cornell University, Ithaca, N. Y. , 1942. Graduated from Cornell Law School, Ithaca, N. Y. , 1948. United States Marine Corps. United States Marine Corps Reserve. Lawyer, private practice. Member of the New York state senate, 1963-1964. Elected as a Republican to the Eighty-ninth and to the nine succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1965-January 3, 1985). Not a candidate for reelection to the Ninety-ninth Congress in 1984. World Bank executive,1986-1991. Died on November 30, 2003, in Sarasota, Fla. Interment in Alexander Cemetery, Alexander, N. Y.
