Graduated from Delahanty High School, Queens, N. Y. , 1960. Attended Florida State University, Tallahassee, Fla. , 1960-1961. United States Army Medical Corps, 1961-1964. Sales representative for heavy equipment firm, 1972-1976. Member, Suffolk County, N. Y. , legislature, 1976-1979. Elected as a Republican to the Ninety-sixth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1979-January 3, 1987). Was not a candidate for reelection in 1986. Private advocate. Died on May 23, 2017, in Washington, D. C.
