Was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Ninety-eighth Congress in 1982. Missouri state treasurer, 1985-1993. Unsuccessful candidate for nomination for Governor of Missouri in 1992. Unsuccessful candidate for election as lieutenant governor of Missouri in 2000.
