Designates March 8, 2006, as International Women's Day.
Reaffirms the Senate's commitment to: (1) end discrimination and increase the participation of women in decision-making positions in government and in the private sector; (2) end and prevent violence against women; (3) pursue policies that guarantee the basic rights of women in the United States and around the world; (4) improve access to quality health care for women; (5) protect the human rights of women and girls during and after conflict and to support the integration of gender perspectives in peacekeeping missions and post conflict processes; and (6) end the trafficking of women and girls.
