Summary

Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to waive the Medicare part B (Supplementary Medical Insurance) late enrollment penalty for individuals entitled to health benefits under the TRICARE program (a managed health care program of the armed forces) as a member or former member of the uniformed services, or dependent of such a member or former member.

Amends Federal law, as amended by the Floyd D. Spence National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2001, to waive the TRICARE requirement for enrollment in Medicare part B in the case of individuals enrolled under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.
