To provide that a person who brings a product liability action in a Federal or State court for injuries sustained from a product that is not in compliance with a voluntary or mandatory standard issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission may recover treble damages, and for other purposes.

Summary

Establishes triple damages as the remedy for any person who brings a product liability action in a Federal or State court for injuries sustained from use of a product which is not in compliance with a voluntary or mandatory standard issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Directs the Commission to reissue, within 90 days, each voluntary and mandatory standard it has for a product with a notification to product manufacturers of such treble damages.
