Title: K-12 school facilities maintenance and appropriations.
This bill would increase the allowable square footage used to calculate routine and major maintenance funding for Wyoming K-12 public schools. For the 2025-2026 school year and each school year thereafter, the cap on education space capacity is raised from 115% to 135% of the standard space level. The bill appropriates $31.9 million for major maintenance payments and $11.8 million for routine maintenance payments to school districts, funded from the Public School Foundation Program Account. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
