Title: False statements as to school division or attendance zone residency; penalty.
False statements as to school division or attendance zone residency; penalty. Requires any person who knowingly makes a false statement concerning the residency of a child in a particular school division or school attendance zone for the purposes of avoiding tuition charges or of enrollment in a school outside the attendance zone in which the student resides to be subject to a civil penalty not to exceed $250 in addition to prorated tuition charges. Current law declares any person who takes any such action guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed $250, in addition to the tuition charge penalty.
