Title: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17 and Title 49, Chapter 1, relative to law enforcement-supported education programs.
ON FEBRUARY 24, 2025, THE HOUSE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED HOUSE BILL 382, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 rewrites the bill to, instead, authorize a local education agency ( LEA ) to implement the law enforcement against drugs and violence (L.E.A.D.) program i n schools operated by the LEA. An LEA's implementation of the L.E.A.D. program may be in lieu of the DARE program.
