ON MARCH 30, 2026, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1823, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 makes the following revisions:  Changes from January 10, 2027, to September 15, 2027, the date by which each agency that makes payment to a business must provide the number of late payments made and the amount of interest paid on such late payments. Subsequent reports must be submitted every September 15th thereafter, rather than every January 10th.  Changes the effective date of the bill from upon becoming a law to July 1, 2026.
