Summary

This bill codifies a list of training requirements and opportunities in state law for educators, school personnel, and volunteers at LEAs and public charter schools . This bill changes the frequency at which the following types of training are required from annual to triennial: (1) De-escalation training f or teachers, administrators, and other school personnel ; (2) The child abuse training program for all school officials and employees working directly with students; and (3) Training for teachers and counselors on the employing LEA's policy prohibiting harassment, intimidation, bullying, or cyberbullying .
