Summary

Present law states that the venue for a proceeding brought by the attorney general to dissolve a nonprofit corporation lies in Davidson County. This bill changes the venue requirements for such a proceeding by providing that the venue lies in any of the following:  Any county where the corporation's principal office is located or, if the corporation does not have a principal office in this state, the corporation's registered office.  Any place where the corporation has engaged in any activity, including soliciting donations.  Any place where the attorney general has an office.  Davidson County, Sumner County, or Williamson County.
