Present law requires each member of the general a ssembly to be paid a monthly expense allowance of $1,250 to provide for expenses necessitated in connection with the member's official duties when away from the seat of government including, but not limited to, telecommunications, office, secretarial and other assi s tance or incidental expenses. This bill increases the monthly allowance to $2,250.
