Under present law, the e levator and amusement device safety board and the bo ard of boiler rules are administratively attached to and regulated by the department of labor and workforce development. This bill transfers the e levator and amusement device safety board and the bo ard of boiler rules to the department of commerce and insurance for administrative and regulatory purposes. All rules promulgated by the board of boiler rules and the elevator and amusement device safety board, with the assistance and under the authority of the department of labor and workforce development on such boards' behalf prior to July 1, 2026, and in ef fect on the date that this bill becomes a law, remain in full force and effect and must be administered by such boards with the assistance and under the authority of the division of health related boards within the department of commerce and insurance unti l duly amended, repealed, expired, modified, or suspended.
