Summary

SB 1587 - Currently, Franklin County, located in the 20th Judicial District, has three associate circuit judges per the statutory formula. This act provides for an additional associate circuit judge for Franklin County to be appointed by the Governor until January 1, 2029, and elected thereafter. This act is similar to HB 1391 (2026).
