AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 19-25-3, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE THAT FUTURE CANDIDATES FOR SHERIFF MUST BE CERTIFIED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS; TO PROVIDE AN EXEMPTION TO THIS PROVISION FOR SHERIFFS ELECTED PRIOR TO JULY 1, 2026; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
