Title: Department of Community Health; determine and verify eligibility of Medicaid applicants and Medicaid recipients and to manage Medicaid enrollment; provide
A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 2 of Title 31 and Chapters 2 and 4 of Title 49 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Department of Community Health, Department of Human Services, and public assistance, respectively, so as to provide for the Department of Community Health to determine and verify eligibility of Medicaid applicants and Medicaid recipients and to manage Medicaid enrollment; to transfer certain powers, functions, and duties from the Department of Human Services to the Department of Community Health; to provide for referral for prosecution; to provide for related matters; to provide for a state plan amendment or waiver request; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
