Title: Labor and industrial relations; definition of employment for certain services performed by certain healthcare technology platform contractors; provisions
A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 34 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to labor and industrial relations, so as to provide for an exception to the definition of employment for certain services performed by certain healthcare technology platform contractors utilizing a healthcare technology platform company's application or platform to facilitate such services; to provide for conditions; to require healthcare technology platform companies to maintain certain insurance coverage; to provide for definitions; to revise the definition of employee with regard to workers' compensation; to exclude certain healthcare technology platform contractors from workers' compensation requirements; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
