Title: Medical Debt Protection Act; enact

Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Part 2 of Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 10 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, the "Fair Business Practices Act of 1975, so as to provide for information on medical assistance; to provide for interest, fees, and payment plans; to provide for billing and collection rules; to provide for liability for medical debt; to provide for consumer reporting agencies; to prohibit collection of medical debt during health insurance appeals; to provide for accessibility; to provide for remedies; to provide for agreements; to provide for definitions; to provide for a short title; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes."
