Title: Family Medical Leave Insurance Duration Extensions
With regard to the family and medical leave insurance (FAMLI) program, the bill: Defines a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for the duration extension that applies to a covered individual who has a child receiving care in a NICU; and Extends the duration of paid FAMLI leave for claims arising on or after January 1, 2027, up to an additional 2 weeks, following the death of a family member for whom a covered individual cared for while using such leave.
