Summary

This act: (1) beginning January 1, 2027, and subject to the availability of donated funds or displays, requires each local board of education to display a document approved by the State Superintendent of Education that contains the Ten Commandments and other specified historical information in every fifth through twelfth grade history classroom and at least one entryway or other common area, except in schools serving kindergarten through fourth grade students; (2) requires the State Department of Education to identify resources for local boards of education to comply with this act and provide these resources on the department's website; and (3) authorizes the State Board of Education to adopt rules to implement this act.
