Summary

This act: (1) requires a parole court to determine if a hearing officer is reasonably satisfied that a parolee committed a new offense when a new arrest is the basis of parole violation hearing; and (2) authorizes the Board of Pardons and Paroles to place a parolee on the next practicable parole hearing docket if parole revocation was based solely on a new offense arrest and a subsequent finding of not guilty, dismissal, or nolle pross is rendered.
