Mayor of Wadsworth, Ohio, 2004-2008. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2019). Was not a candidate for reelection to the House of Representatives in 2018, but was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate. Unsuccessful candidate for nomination for Governor of Ohio in 2022.
