Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Sixteenth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Chris Collins, and reelected to the succeeding Congress (June 23, 2020-January 3, 2023). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Eighteenth Congress in 2022.
