Steve Daines

A Senator and a Representative from Montana. Born in Van Nuys, Los Angeles County, Calif. , August 20, 1962. Graduated from Bozeman High School, Bozeman, Mont. B. S. , Montana State University, Bozeman, Mont. , 1984. Businessman. Delegate, Republican National Convention, 1984. Unsuccessful candidate for lieutenant governor of Montana in 2008. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress (January 3, 2013-January 3, 2015). Was not a candidate for reelection to the House of Representatives but was elected as a Republican to the United States Senate in 2014. Reelected in 2020 for the term ending January 3, 2027. Chair, National Republican Senatorial Committee (2023-2025).
