Unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Maryland in 2014. Elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fifteenth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2017-January 3, 2023). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Eighteenth Congress in 2022. Attorney general of Maryland, 2023-present.
